Educational Qualifications for OPSC AEE Recruitment 2024
Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE)
- A candidate must have possessed a Degree in Engineering in Civil for the post of AEE (Civil) and Degree in Engineering in Mechanical for the post of AEE (Mechanical) & Degree in Engineering in Electrical for the post of AEE (Electrical) or an equivalent qualification from any University or Institution recognized by the Government or he/she must be an Associated Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Civil/Mechanical.
- Candidate Must Have Valid Gate Score Marks .The Commission, shall short list the candidates for interview on the basis of valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score which shall be two times of the vacancies advertised, category wise:
Upper Age Limit for OPSC Recruitment 2024
Candidate must not be under 21 years of age and must not be above 38 years

OPSC AEE Exam Pattern (GATE 2024)
- This Recruitment will Eligible Through GATE Exam.
- The GATE 2024 examination will be in ONLINE mode and the question paper would consist of 65 nos. of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), MSQ, NQT Type Question to be answered in a maximum time of 3 hours.
- General Aptitude: 15 Marks + Engineering Mathematics: 13 Marks + Subject Questions: 72 Marks = Total: 100 Marks
- The medium of written examination shall be in English only.
Pattern of Questions:-
GATE 2024 may contain questions of THREE different types in all the papers:
(i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ):
- For each 1-mark MCQ, there will be a deduction of 1/3 mark, and for each 2-mark MCQ, a deduction of 2/3 mark will be applied for an incorrect answer. These questions are objective, with four answer choices, and only one choice is correct.
(ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ):
- There is no negative marking for MSQ questions. These questions, carrying 1 or 2 marks each, are objective, and each has four answer choices. One or more than one choice may be correct. However, there is no partial credit for choosing partially correct combinations of choices or any single wrong choice.
(iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions:
- For NAT questions, carrying 1 or 2 marks each in most papers and sections, there is no negative marking. Candidates must enter a signed real number using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor, with the keyboard disabled. No choices are provided. The answer may be an integer or a decimal, and candidates are advised on the precision required (up to a maximum of three decimal places in some cases). Rounding off should be done at the end of the calculation. Some problems may have an appropriate range considered during evaluation to account for round-off errors. There is no partial credit for NAT questions.

Selection Process for OPSC Recruitment 2024 for Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE)
- Selection will be done through a written examination and interview for Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE).
- The Commission after receipt of all the applications shall take steps to select the candidates on the basis of valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score and interview.
- The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks secured in valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score carrying 90% weightage and interview carrying 10% weightage.
- In case of two or more candidates securing the same marks in aggregate, the candidate securing higher marks in interview will be assigned higher position over the others.
- In case of securing higher marks in interview, final ranking will be determined on the age, i.e, those elder in age will be given preference over others.
