Educational Qualifications for Chandigarh Administration JE Recruitment 2023
Junior Engineer (Electrical):
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Board/ University/Institute (not through correspondence/Distance Education) OR
- Those candidates who have acquired Degree in Electrical Engineering disciplines from the recognized Institute/University and approved by the Joint Committee of AICTE/UGC/DEC are also eligible but such candidates will be considered at par with the basic qualification of Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Junior Engineer Electrical in Chandigarh Administration Exam Pattern
- The CBT Exam duration for the MCQ shall be 120 minutes(2 Hours)
- One objective Written test consisting of multiple choice questions (MCQ) will be conducted. Candidates will be selected on the basis of total marks obtained in the test. Qualifying marks for each Section-I & Section-II will be 45% for all candidates.
- No interview will be conducted and there will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong Answer.

- 07 question each for Fundamental Electrical Engineer, Electrical Engineering Materials, Electrical Machines, Electrical Measuring Instruments and Instrumentation, Estimating and costing in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, Electronics, Utilization of Electrical Energy, Programmable Logic Controllers and Micro Controllers and Computer; 70 questions
Section II :-
Multiple Choice Question Paper having :
- English - 12 questions
- Mental Ability - 12 questions
- Computer Aptitude - 06 questions
- The minimum percentage to qualify the written examination will be 50% for General/EWS, 40% for OBC, 30% for the SC/ST/PWD categories. The cut –off marks specified would be applicable in the overall marks (i.e., Technical/Generic Combined) as well as for each section (Technical/Generic) separately.
